If you suspect a child has been sexually assaulted it is important that you act on your concern as soon as possible so the child can get support and the concerns can be investigated.
You can contact the police or child protection/care and protection services in your State or Territory.
Also please be aware that in most States most professional staff, including those who work for hospitals, government and non-government services are mandated by law to report known or suspected abuse and neglect of children.
